During the height of the Great Recession, several CEOs and executives from Washington banks gathered together to brainstorm how best to promote the industry. Banks and their employees have long been active and integral members of their communities, but few customers know about these efforts.
Bankers Care began as an annual food drive, working in partnership with Northwest Harvest. Soon, the WBA and its members realized the concept of Bankers Care meant so much more than taking in food donations once a year. Bankers Care has since expanded to include financial literacy and education programs, and other philanthropic and community service contributions made by banks.
WBA is proud to work with a variety of local organizations and celebrates the work our members do in the communities where they live, work, and serve!
